Matheson Memorial Library Strategic Plan, 2024-2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Mission<\/h2>\n

The Mission of the Matheson Memorial Library is to connect our community with library
\nresources and services that enrich, enlighten, and entertain.<\/p>\n

\nVision<\/h2>\n

Matheson Memorial Library will provide excellent customer service and quality materials, resources,
\nprograms, and experiences. We will provide free access to these in a comfortable and welcoming
\nenvironment. We will promote partnerships in the community, encourage lifelong learning, and
\nevolve to meet the needs of the community.<\/p>\n

\nWe believe:<\/h2>\n

That an accessible and free library is fundamental to a free society.
\nIn literacy and lifelong learning.
\nIn intellectual freedom and the personal privacy of all our users in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n

\nWe value:<\/h2>\n

\nWe offer quality service to all users. Staff is friendly, helpful, and committed to enhancing user

\ncollections, and staff.<\/p>\n

\nThe library will inspire people to connect more deeply as a community.<\/p>\n

The library will support diversity, equitable and accessible services, and inclusion for all members of
\nthe community.<\/p>\n

The library will strive to build and maintain connections with community organizations.<\/p>\n

Education<\/strong>
\nThe library will empower people to learn, explore and connect.<\/p>\n

The library will offer opportunities for people to pursue lifelong learning.<\/p>\n

The library will support community organizations, including the school district and Literacy Council,
\nin developing literacy for all ages.<\/p>\n

Service<\/strong>
\nThe library will strive to be a welcoming and accessible place for all members of the community.<\/p>\n

The library will continue to build collections in all formats that reflect our community and satisfy their
\ninformation, education, and entertainment needs in accordance with our policies and available
\nresources.<\/p>\n
